CNC stands for Computer Numerically Controlled. This technology gives speed and precision to cutting parts. Metalworking machine tool builders developed CNC technology in the 1950s for the US Air Force. This equipment has been serving the metal industry for many years, and recent technological advances have made it readily available to other industries. Some typical uses of CNC systems are for cutting out cabinet parts, design or inlay work in solid surface materials, carving three dimensional surfaces, milling moldings, carving chair seats, and sign making.
Many shops rely on hand-operated machines, like table saws, drilling units and shapers to produce the parts used for assembly. Often lengthy setups, jigs and test cuts are required to begin a milling operation. Once the setups are proven as accurate, the milling operation usually proceeds efficiently. When the parts are completed, the setups are changed for the next operation, then, the realization occurs that a part was missed or a part was added. The time consuming setup must start from scratch, and precise duplication of the original setup is a daunting task. CNC equipment alleviates these situations. A CNC machine can precisely duplicate parts by the nature of its operation. Full sheets of material can be used rather than pre-blanking on a saw or other machine. There is no consequence for changing milling operations and then realizing a part need to be added. No human can be as precise as the CNC machine, The margin of error for the machine is +/- .0004 of an inch. it may also be programmed to allow for wood grain, material type and special cutter requirements.
Need several rosettes to complete a library? No problem. The CNC machine can produce these in a matter of minutes. The accuracy of multiple parts is unmatched by any other method. The CNC machine reduces production costs due to potential human errors.
How does your shop handle simple or complex curved part production? Are you creating jigs and templates to produce these parts?
CNC Router Technologies can accurately produce these curved items for you. Or if you prefer, we can create those complex templates for you, and you can reproduce precise components that are based upon accurate templates.
Have a carved sign that you need to provide to a customer yesterday? Let CNC Router Technologies cut the sign out for you.
Precision inlay production is unmatched by CNC equipment. Just look at what we can do! This is a Corian inlay produced by CNC equipment.
We charge for our service on an hourly rate. No job is too small for CNC Router Technologies~ we will produce one part for you or mill the complete job.
Our machining software is industry standard AutoCAD based. We can run parts from your AutoCAD compatible files or we can create a new AutoCAD drawing based on your sketches and/or ideas.
Files can be e-mailed to us for job cost estimation. CNC Router Technologies can provide for rapid part production in many different materials.
Parts produced on our CNC equipment can be simple square cabinet sides or intricate aircraft parts or custom car dashboards. Need a special elliptical molding? Our router can produce that just ask us.
Each shop employs different construction techniques. Our CNC equipment is capable of providing for a wide variety of assembly systems. Whether your shop uses simple screw attachment, dowel construction, dado, rabbet, miter or ready to assemble, CNC Router Technologies can provide you with the parts you need in the assembly method your shop utilizes.
