Dome
This is a Dome that was to be installed on a pool house roof. The dome has an outside dimension of 15’-5” from flat to flat. The base of the dome is an octagon shape that was designed to capture the double 3/4" layer rib sections. The skin of the dome was 1/2" thick plywood that was installed after the base and ribs were set on the flat roof area.
Once the dome was erected in its final location, a standing seam Copper roof was installed.

Single Section - In order to provide the correctly size copper pieces and keep the roofer out of the cold January weather, a single section was created, complete with a stand that placed the section at the correct attitude as related to its assembled position. The roofer had never had this sort of luxury prior to this project, and was overjoyed when he was able to bring this test section to his warm shop. The roofer was able to fabricate all sixteen sections in his shop and installed the pre-formed and precut copper sections with ease, on the dome assembly.
